MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich met with Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov in Moscow. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Energy Ministry.
The parties discussed the bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Union State program to set up the common electricity market. Special consideration was given to the key aspects of the draft interstate agreement on the formation of a common electricity market.
The participants of the meeting discussed approaches to the implementation of the Union State program on the development of the common gas market.
The parties also considered prospects of developing the common energy markets in the Eurasian Economic Union.
