BelAZ, Communications Ministry to cooperate to introduce digital technologies in production sector

MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – The Communications and Informatization Ministry and the Belarusian heavy truck manufacturer BelAZ have discussed practical aspects of the digital transformation of the production sector. The matters were discussed as Deputy Communications and Informatization Minister Anna Ryabova met with BelAZ First Deputy Director General for Strategic Development, Innovations, and Information Technologies Aleksandr Botvinnik, BelTA learned from the ministry's website.

BelAZ presented its accomplishments and the digital solutions the company uses to interact with clients and suppliers, provide maintenance for the vehicles that have been sold. Plans to introduce more digital solutions into business processes were mentioned. The sides discussed the development of conceptual approaches to the digital transformation of industrial enterprises.

The sides also discussed the demand for specialized IT solutions, advantages and disadvantages of existing applied solutions available on the market, and shared the experience of their usage and maintenance, the experience of creating their own products.

As part of the meeting the Communications and Informatization Ministry representatives went on a tour of the enterprise and were made familiar with the manufacturing processes. They took a close look at BelAZ products.

The Communications and Informatization Ministry noted that as a result of the visit the sides reached an agreement on cooperation in matters concerning the digital transformation of the production sector and determined the mutual interest in providing expert support and formats of interaction in this area.
