
MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Myanmar have discussed a wide range of matters of bilateral cooperation, Myanmar’s Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Wah Wah Maung told journalists following the second meeting of the joint Belarus-Myanmar committee on trade and economic cooperation, BelTA has learned.
“We discussed six key topics, including cooperation in agriculture. The Myanmar side is interested in purchasing machinery and tractors for the agricultural sector from Belarus. They are well suited to our needs,” Wah Wah Maung said.

“We also touched upon cooperation in healthcare. We are keen to buy medical equipment from Belarus,” the minister noted. “We successfully agreed on supplies of clothing, rubber products, agricultural goods such as rice, pulses, and seafood from Myanmar to Belarus.” Wah Wah Maung emphasized that she is ready to provide every possible assistance to promote this cooperation.
