Belarus' Council of Ministers approves work plan for H1 2022

MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – The work plan of the Council of Ministers of Belarus and the Presidium of the Council of Ministers for H1 2022 was approved by the government's Resolution No. 770 of 29 December 2021, which was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 31 December, BelTA informs.

The Council of Ministers will hold a series of sessions to review the results of the social and economic development of Belarus in 2021 and in January-March 2022.

The Presidium of the Council of Ministers will take stock of the efforts to increase employment, identify unreported income, socialize persons with asocial behavior, and other issues related to the implementation of Decree No. 3 “On employment promotion”.

Other topics on the agenda include efforts to combat drug trafficking and prevent drug consumption, and to facilitate social rehabilitation of people with drug addiction.

The Presidium of the Council of Ministers will also discuss the draft concept of regional development, preparedness of agricultural organizations for field work, forage procurement and harvesting in 2022, the results of government bailouts in 2021, efficiency of waste management, gradual reduction in the use of polymer packaging and its replacement with environmentally friendly packaging. Members of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers will also analyze the implementation of the President's decree “On improving energy efficiency of multi-apartment residential buildings.”

Another important matter deals with forecasts of social and economic development of Belarus for 2023 and for the period up to 2025, the main areas of fiscal and tax policy for 2023 and for the medium term, as well as the efficiency of the use of mineral resources.
