MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – The team of Belarusian athlete Maryna Slutskaya (+70kg) finished second at the IJF European Club Championships in Odivelas, Portugal, BelTA has learned.
Maryna Slutskaya was part of Valencia Judo Club. At 2-2, Maryna Slutskaya won the deciding bout to lead her team into the semifinal. The Belarusian also secured another win to reach the final.
In the final the Spanish team lost to France 2-3 to finish second. Bronze medals were collected by Romania and Turkey.
Competing at the tournament were 172 athletes from 23 countries.
