Belarus' cyclist Tatsiana Sharakova wins Women's Individual Pursuit at 2nd European Games

MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Belarus' cyclist Tatsiana Sharakova clinched gold in the Women's Individual Pursuit at the 2nd European Games on 30 June, BelTA has learned.

One of Belarus' most experienced cyclists was first in the qualification round. She also showed the best time in the final (3 minutes, 32.045 seconds). The silver medalist, Italy's Marta Cavalli, was more than 5 seconds behind the frontrunner. Bronze went to Russia's Tamara Dronova.

This is Tatsiana Sharakova's second medal at the 2nd European Games. Earlier, she won a bronze medal in the 120km Women's Road Race.

Apart from that, Belarusian cyclists Hanna Tserakh won the Women's Scratch bronze and Yauheni Karaliok finished third in the Men's Scratch.
