Over 1.55m Belarusians get first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – More than 1.55 million Belarusians have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine; over 1.27 million of them have been vaccinated with the second dose, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

“The number of people who have had both shots amounted to over 159,500 in Brest Oblast, over 140,500 in Vitebsk Oblast, more than 222,900 in Gomel Oblast, over 127,800 in Grodno Oblast, more than 288,700 in Minsk, over 155,300 in Minsk Oblast, more than 136,800 in Mogilev Oblast,” the ministry informed.

In addition, more than 41,000 employees of enterprises and government agencies received both doses.
