MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – In 2025, 458 women in Belarus were awarded the Order of Mother, Labor and Social Security Deputy Minister Yulia Berdnikova told journalists, BelTA reports.
Yulia Berdnikova reminded journalists that the country will celebrate Mother’s Day on 14 October and Father’s Day on 21 October. The week between these days, known as Parental Love Week, will be marked by numerous events across all regions.
“Regional, city, and district executive committees have organized gala receptions to award the Order of Mother to women who exemplify motherhood, love, and responsible parenting,” the deputy minister said. “In 2025, 458 women were honored with this state award, bringing the total number of recipients in our republic since 1998 to over 14,000.”
The results of several national competitions will also be announced during this period, including the contest among news agencies “Strong Family – Strong Country”, the contest among law enforcement agencies “Family! Serving Together!,” the contest of the Emergencies Ministry “Family Calling” and the contest among educational institutions “My Family History”.
Traditional nationwide events will also be held, such as “Congratulate the Mother and Baby!” in maternity hospitals and “Congratulate Mother and Father Together!” in organizations. “At the Civil Registry Office, parents are congratulated when registering a child’s birth, newlyweds when they marry, and couples celebrating their wedding anniversaries,” Yulia Berdnikova noted.
A new family video marathon titled “It All Starts with the Family” is launching today on TikTok. “We invite everyone to actively join our campaign and, through short videos, show life in our Belarusian families, where our happy children are born and raised,” the deputy minister added.
Other key events include a national forum “A Conversation About What’s Important: A Happy Family – A Strong State” in Polotsk on 14-15 October and a working youth forum “Time for Family Values” at the Minsk Technopark on 17 October, a family celebration “Together with Dad” on Father’s Day, 21 October.
Awareness raising campaigns and educational events will also be held, including the Day of Consultation on Social Protection for Families with Children on 15 October, and free legal consultations for parents on marriage and family law provided by lawyers and notaries on 14 and 21 October.
