MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – The Still Life painting by Michel Kikoine, a native of Belarus and a representative of the School of Paris, will be donated to the National Art Museum of Belarus in a solemn ceremony on 18 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The painting will be donated by the Belarusian Embassy in Switzerland. This will be Michel Kikoine's first painting in the museum's holdings.
“The return of Michel Kikoine' Still Life to Belarus is a result of joint efforts of the Belarusian Embassy in Switzerland and Belarus' Honorary Consul in Lausanne Andrei Nazheskin,” the press service noted.
