
MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Nearly 81,000 foreign nationals from 57 countries vacationed in health resorts of Minsk Oblast in 2024, Head of the Minsk Oblast Office of the Belarusian national center of health resort treatment and recuperation Irina Yevseeva said at a press conference held during the media tour “Discover Minsk Oblast: The Future Begins Here!” in Myadel District, BelTA has learned.
Minsk Oblast is home to 51 certified health resorts. “There are 97 health resorts in Belarus, 30 of which are located in Minsk Oblast, with many concentrated in Myadel District. These health resorts are popular among both Belarusians and foreign visitors. Last year, about 81,000 foreign guests visited health resorts of Minsk Oblast, which was 10,000 more than in 2023. Russian tourists ranked first, followed by visitors from Latvia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Syria, China, and others,” Irina Yevseeva noted.
In January-May 2025, the number of foreign nationals vacationing in Belarusian health resorts increased by 3.5%.
