MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Delegates began arriving at the Palace of the Republic to take part in the second session of the VII Belarusian People’s Congress, BelTA has learned.
Among the delegates are representatives of all branches of government, local councils of deputies, and civil society: people from various social groups and backgrounds.
On 18-19 December, Minsk will host the second session of the VII Belarusian People’s Congress. On the first day, the President’s Address to the Belarusian People and Parliament is scheduled to be delivered. Belarus’ social and economic development program for 2026-2030 will be reviewed on the second day. Among other items on the agenda of the Belarusian People’s Congress is the election of a member to the Presidium of the Belarusian People’s Congress, personnel matters for the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, and also issues related to the Congress’s financing.
