MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – Communist parties of Greece, Hungary, and France as well as representatives of the international communist and worker movement have expressed solidarity with Belarus, BelTA learned from representatives of the Communist Party of Belarus.
According to the source, the communist parties of Greece, Hungary, and France have staged events to express solidarity with Belarus. They have reposted and supported the address of the Communist Party of Belarus. Representatives of the international communist and worker movement, a number of independent Internet resources, journals, and blogs have also expressed solidarity with Belarus.
The Communist Party of Belarus had previously released an address to describe the state of affairs in the country and request support for Belarus. In particular, the address calls upon communist parties of friendly countries to act via their parliaments in order to express public support for Belarus and express their attitude towards subversive actions against Belarus.
“In essence, we see elements of a new policy of deterrence in a new Cold War. Just like a number of other countries Belarus is becoming a hostage to the confrontation initiated by the USA. With these actions the USA's satellites in Eastern Europe, which have previously carried out decommunization and had virtually restored the content and form of interwar Nazi regimes, are becoming the USA's active accomplices,” the address reads.
