MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) - Braslav became the 30th Belarusian city to join the Child and Adolescent Friendly City initiative, BelTA learned from the press center of the Education Ministry.
A child and adolescent friendly city is a modern city for comfortable living and comprehensive development of young citizens where they can influence decisions concerning their life in the city and express opinion on how they would like to see their city. Children and teenagers suggest what needs to be done to improve their yard, school, neighborhood so that their city should become friendly to children, and then carry out their projects with the assistance of adults.
By the way, this initiative embraces such Belarusian cities as Brest, Pinsk, Pruzhany, Baranovichi, Novopolotsk, Polotsk, Orsha, Gomel, Dobrush, Mozyr, Svetlogorsk, Grodno, Lida, Novogrudok, Volkovysk, Mosty, Shchuchin, Borisov, Zhodino, Molodechno, Slutsk, Soligorsk, Vileika, Gorki, Kostyukovichi, Shklov, Mogilev, Bobruisk, and Minsk.
