Belarus, South Korea to cooperate in exchange of specialists, healthcare personnel training

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – Belarus and South Korea intend to cooperate in the exchnage of specialists, training of healthcare personnel. These and other issues were discussed at the meeting of Belarus' Deputy Healthcare Minister Boris Androsyuk and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea to Belarus Tae Jung Yeol, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolai Borisevich and Deputy Finance Minister Olga Tarasevich also took part in the meeting.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation and proposals for its expansion.

“A promising area could be cooperation on the exchange of specialists, personnel training, mutual participation in conferences. The parties discussed proposals in pharmaceuticals, i.e. supply of medicines and Korean experience in procurement,” the press service said.

There is a memorandum of understanding between the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus and the National Health Insurance Service of the Republic of Korea. A draft memorandum of understanding between the healthcare ministries of the two countries is in the pipeline.
