MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – A delegation from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, led by Defense Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin, has departed for the Kyrgyz Republic, the Defense Ministry informed BelTA.
The defense minister is scheduled to participate in a joint meeting of the CSTO’s Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers, and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils, followed by a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Bishkek.
The agenda for these meetings includes the discussion of more than 40 items concerning areas such as joint operational and combat training, improving the crisis response system, and information-analytical activities. The Defense Ministry emphasized that the resulting decisions will be aimed at developing the military component of the organization.
