BREST, 16 February (BelTA) – “The American passenger” Senya the raccoon has been issued a Belarusian passport at his new place of residence. He has settled in the animal park in Baranovichi, BelTA has learned.
The raccoon Senya is known throughout Belarus after his unusual journey. He arrived in our country from the USA in a sea car container. The “foreigner” was in quarantine at the Oshmyany district veterinary station and then moved to the animal park in Baranovichi.
At his new place of residence, Senya is under the constant supervision of specialists. He was welcomed with open arms. The park prepared a spacious enclosure for him and feeds him various delicacies. Until recently, the “American passenger” was an illegal alien. In Baranovichi, this situation has been corrected: Senya was issued a Belarusian passport. The animal park announced this event on its social media.
The document states that Senya the raccoon was born in a forest in the USA. Specialists listed his date of birth as 27 October 2023. The passport was issued on 12 February and it is valid until 2036.
