Lukashenko sends National Day greetings to Serbia

MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic as the country celebrates National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Today Serbia and the Serbian people, as they have done many times in the past, are persistently fighting to preserve their identity and strengthen the country's sovereignty based on national interests and their own assessment of world processes,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state emphasized that Minsk has always regarded Belgrade as an important and reliable partner in Europe and is interested in the dynamic development of multifaceted bilateral contacts in the spirit of mutual respect and support.
  
The president expressed confidence that further deepening of the Belarusian-Serbian relations based on fruitful economic cooperation fully meets the interests of the two kith and kin nations.  

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Aleksandar Vucic strong health, inexhaustible energy, implementation of all plans and undertakings, and peace and prosperity to the people of Serbia.
