Lukashenko: It is time for Europe to stop playing the neo-colonizer

MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) – It is time for Europe to stop playing the neo-colonizer and clinging to the image of a white ruler, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed the 7th Belarusian People's Congress in Minsk on 24 April, BelTA has learned.

“The Global South theme certainly sounds frightening for the aging Europe. The humanitarian and migration crisis provoked by the struggle for influence in the region is growing. You know who has provoked this crisis. But it does not really matter. Experts predict serious changes in the already faceless pan-European identity under the weight of migrants within the next 20 years. This is going to be a disaster for Europe. Europe has no more time for playing a neo-colonizer, for clinging to the lost image of a white ruler. You are no longer rulers after all! Even on your own land,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The head of state believes that the European Union should now return to traditional values, start having children, strengthen the institution of the classical family. “They should fit into new progressive structures of interaction with the East. This is our common Eurasian continent. Curators from Washington, however, prefer the idea of sending European soldiers to Ukraine. France is virtually first in line. No comment, as they say,” the president added.
