MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with outgoing Serbian Ambassador to Belarus Veljko Kovacevic, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties reviewed the state of the Belarusian-Serbian cooperation, highlighted its friendly nature and noted the great potential to promote bilateral mutually beneficial partnership. Vladimir Makei thanked the head of the Serbian diplomatic mission for joint work to intensify the dialogue.
The minister noted that the Serbian humanitarian aid handed over to Belarus on 21-22 June to tackle the coronavirus pandemic is an important gesture of support from the brotherly Serbian people.
For his personal contribution to strengthening and developing cooperation between Belarus and Serbia, Veljko Kovacevic was awarded the Partnership badge of merit of the Belarusian diplomatic service.
