Minsk to host next session of CIS Foreign Ministers Council in autumn

MOSCOW, 2 April (BelTA) – The next session of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council is to be held in Minsk in autumn, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev said at the CIS Foreign Ministers Council in Moscow on 2 April, BelTA has learned.

Upon the initiative of the Russian Federation, an additional issue was introduced to the agenda and discussed - the draft address of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States to the peoples of the CIS member states and the international community on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. The heads of delegations approved the draft address of the heads of state, and also decided to hold the next meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council in the Republic of Belarus, on 14 October 2021, on the eve of the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council.
