MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – The visit of Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevicius will be the beginning of a new period in the bilateral relations, Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said following the meeting with the Lithuanian counterpart in Minsk on 4 February, BelTA has learned.
“The current visit of the Lithuanian minister of foreign affairs is of symbolic importance. We see it as the basis for the beginning of a new qualitative period in the bilateral relations,” Vladimir Makei said.
He described the talks with Linas Linkevicius as fruitful and extremely open.
The parties analyzed in detail the current level and areas of cooperation, including the most sensitive ones, and outlined further steps to develop the Belarusian-Lithuanian relations and maintain them at the level of good neighborliness.
