Belarus, Kenya keen to step up parliamentary cooperation

MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kenya Pavel Vzyatkin met with Speaker of Kenya's National Assembly Justin Muturi on 29 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Pavel Vzyatkin briefed Justin Muturi on the competencies and activities of the Belarusian parliament in the field of international relations and suggested expanding cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. “Justin Muturi stressed the importance of creating a legal framework of the bilateral cooperation to spur comprehensive development of the Belarusian-Kenyan relations. He said the Kenyan parliament is ready to facilitate joint initiatives in various fields,” the press service said.
