GRODNO, 30 December (BelTA) - The refugee children staying at the logistics center near Grodno got a visit from Father Frost and Snow Maiden on 30 December, BelTA has learned.
The refugees are staying in a temporary accommodation facility near the Belarusian-Polish border. Now there are some 500 people there. Many of them are women and children.
Father Frost and Snow Maiden attended some of the lessons at the mobile educational center opened near the logistics hub, played games with children and handed out sweets and stationery.
“During the festive season, all children believe in miracles and magic. We could not stay indifferent to the difficult situation these children have found themselves in. I hope we have provided them with some holiday cheer and shared kindness with them,” said Andrei Semanchik, head of the education department of the Grodno City Hall.
A mobile educational center continues its work for refugee children. Grodno teachers and volunteers give lessons, provide psychological help, and offer entertainment for children.
