MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – Partnership prospects were discussed as Belarusian Energy Minister Denis Moroz met with Minister of Energy and Petroleum of Sudan Muhyiddin Al-Naim Said on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week in Moscow, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.
The head of the Sudanese delegation talked about the efforts to restore and develop the power grid infrastructure and the gas distribution system in Sudan. “We are interested in interaction with Belarusian partners in these areas with regard to construction work and with regard to shipments of the necessary equipment to Sudan. We are ready to offer profitable terms to the Belarusian side,” Muhyiddin Al-Naim Said said.
In turn, Denis Moroz noted that Belarus has the necessary experience and qualified personnel in these fields. Apart from that, the project to build the Belarusian nuclear power plant has been successfully implemented. If Sudan is interested, Belarus is ready to share its experience in the field of nuclear energy industry.
The energy minister invited representatives of Sudanese companies to visit Belarus for the sake of discussing concrete spheres of interaction. “We are ready to show our capabilities and discuss cooperation in detail,” he remarked.
