MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) - Cooperation of business unions stimulates economic initiative of citizens, Andrei Kopytok, Chairman of the Supreme Coordinating Council of the Union of Legal Entities “Confederation of Entrepreneurship”, said at an extended board meeting of the Belarusian Economy Ministry, BelTA has learned.
“The Economy Ministry solved a number of key tasks in 2023. The main goals for achieving the planned indicators are being fulfilled in accordance with the social and economic development forecast. The improving wellbeing of citizens and strong performance, including outpacing GDP growth (103.9% instead of 103.8%) show that our government, ministries and agencies successfully coordinate the work,” Andrei Kopytok said.
According to him, the economy minister announced a new law on investment, which is soon to take effect. The law will envisage a number of preferences for potential investors, which will definitely contribute to an active inflow of investment into the country.
“Cooperation of business unions will continue to encourage the economic initiative of citizens. We are ready to take a direct and active part in the development of social and economic development programs until 2030 and the National Strategy for Sustainable Development through 2040, which will be aimed at sustainable economic growth,” the head of the confederation stressed.
