
MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – A test mission to review the operational safety of the Belarusian nuclear power plant is currently underway, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.
The expert group includes representatives of the Beloyarsk NPP, Kalinin NPP, Smolensk NPP, Novovoronezh NPP, and Leningrad NPP, as well as the central office of Rosenergoatom Concern. They will assess key areas of the Belarusian NPP’s activities related to operational safety, including inspections of equipment and systems at Unit 2, review of documents and reports, and monitoring of personnel performance.
The results of the inspections will contribute to further improvements to strengthen the safety and reliability of the Belarusian NPP and will serve as an important stage in preparing for the upcoming IAEA OSART mission, scheduled at the plant in 2026.
The test mission will conclude on 31 October.
