Multi-brand center in Kuzbass to be Belarus’ largest machinery center in Russia

MOSCOW, 21 May (BelTA) - The multi-brand center of Belarusian machinery in Kuzbass will become the largest in Russia after the opening of its second construction stage, which is scheduled for July, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik said at a meeting with Russia’s Kemerovo Oblast Governor Ilya Seredyuk on 20 May, BelTA correspondent reports.

“This is an ambitious and very promising project. The center is in the final stage of construction. Most likely we will come to your region in July to cut the ribbon together,” the ambassador said addressing the governor.

According to Aleksandr Rogozhnik, multi-brand centers of Belarusian machinery are set up in Russian regions on the instructions of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. “Today in Kuzbass we already have a site for the remotorization of haul trucks. Now we have built the most modern center in the Russian Federation, which will present not only haul trucks, but also other machinery, ranging from seeding units to utilities and road-building machinery, in fact, the entire range of our machine-building complex,” he said.

Following the meeting, the ambassador told reporters that it also discussed the supply of Belarusian streetcars to Kemerovo region: according to him, the region plans to upgrade about 100 units in the near future. "We discussed the construction of a school and kindergarten in Kemerovo region," added Alexander Rogozhnik.

Following the meeting, the ambassador told the media that the parties also discussed the supply of Belarusian trams to Kemerovo Oblast. According to him, the region plans to renew about 100 trams in the near future. “We discussed the construction of a school and kindergarten in Kemerovo Oblast,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik said.

As for humanitarian cooperation, the parties agreed to hold the Days of Belarus in Kemerovo Oblast. Plans are also in place for a tour of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus in the Russian region and a return tour of one of the Kemerovo theaters in Belarus.

“The agenda of our cooperation is comprehensive. The most important thing is that both the governor and, in fact, his entire team are determined to strengthen bilateral cooperation and reach $500 million trade,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik said.
