MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Aleksei Bogdanov met with Astana Akim (mayor) Zhenis Kassymbek on 21 October, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan.
During the meeting the parties mentioned an increase in bilateral trade between Belarus and Astana and expressed the intention to continue developing the bilateral dialogue in cooperation fields of interest and in stepping up interregional cooperation.
One of the practical steps in this direction will be the signing of an action plan (roadmap) between the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Akimat of Astana on cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, and culture in 2026-2028.
The Astana mayor confirmed the city administration is ready to take an active part in the 19th session of the Belarus-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation and to facilitate the participation of Astana’s business community in a session of the Belarus-Kazakhstan Business Cooperation Council.
