Inflation in Belarus at 6.1% in March

MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) – In March 2022 the index of consumer prices for goods and services totaled 106.1% as against February 2022 and 109.4% as against December 2021, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.

In March the base index of consumer prices, which rules out changes in prices for individual goods and services susceptible to administrative and seasonal factors, totaled 107% as against February 2022 and 109.3% as against December 2021.

Prices for foods went up by 4.2% from February 2022 and by 7.6% from December 2021.

Prices for non-foods rose by 10.8% from February 2022 and 12.1% from December 2021.

In March prices for services went up by 3.3% from February 2022 and 8.9% from December 2021.
