MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) - The first China-Europe freight train of 2026 has departed from China’s Guizhou Province bound for Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Within the framework of the China-Europe international railway freight corridor, the first freight train of 2026 from Guizhou Province departed on 22 February from Guiyang, the provincial capital of Guizhou in Southwest China. The train, carrying 55 standard containers (TEU) of locally manufactured new energy vehicles and auto parts, is destined for Belarus.

The train, carrying more than 2,000 tonnes of goods valued at over 24.9 million yuan (approximately $3.6 million), is expected to arrive in Minsk Oblast within 15 days, crossing the state border through the Alashankou checkpoint in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (Northwest China).

A local subsidiary of the Chinese automaker GEELY reported that this train will reduce transportation time for goods exported to Central Europe by at least 10 days and save nearly 10 million yuan annually.
