MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – The first brand zone featuring Belarusian products has opened in a Moscow shopping mall, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Bank of Belarus.

The initiative was launched in line with the president's directives to promote exports with financial support from Belarusian banks.

“This project will expand opportunities for domestic enterprises to sell their products on the Russian market. It is aimed at increasing brand recognition and competitiveness of Belarusian manufacturers,” First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Aleksandr Yegorov said.

For Russian consumers, the format offers convenience: a wide selection of household appliances from well-known Belarusian brands is available in one location.

Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik noted that the project would not have been possible without the president’s directive. Its core goal, he emphasized, is to bring Belarusian products closer to the Russian consumer.

If the pilot project proves successful, the brand zone concept will be extended to other stores of the retail network, including in Russia’s regions.
