MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian heavy truck manufacturer BelAZ intends to ship 36 haul trucks to one of Russia’s largest coal companies, representatives of the Belarusian enterprise told BelTA.

BelAZ Company and Kuzbassrazrezugol Company have been working together for 60 years. The strategic partnership of the Belarusian truck maker and the coal-mining company located in Russia’s Kemerovo Oblast has not only changed coal mining in the Russian region but also enhanced the industry’s potential.

“For us Kuzbass [aka Kemerovo Oblast] is a region of strategic importance. Due to historic reasons it is in the strip mines of Kuzbassrazrezugol Company that the character of our vehicles was forged. Here, in conditions of real business we work together to perfect the model range and introduce breakthrough innovations. For the entirety of 60 years our partnership has served one purpose: steady growth of the industrial potential of Kuzbass mines and of the Belarusian mechanical engineering industry,” stressed Sergei Lesin, Director General of OAO BelAZ, the managing company of the holding company BelAZ.

In the 60 years the miners set tens of USSR and Russian record highs using Belarusian mining vehicles. At present Kuzbassrazrezugol Company uses BelAZ haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 130-360 tonnes as well as sprinkler trucks, fuel tankers, and tow trucks of Belarusian make. Kuzbassrazrezugol Company miners were the first to trial one of the world’s largest haul trucks BelAZ 75600 with the carrying capacity of 320 tonnes. BelAZ’s first quarry road scraper has been undergoing field trials at a mining site of the coal-mining company since 2025. As many as 36 new haul trucks are scheduled for delivery in 2026.

“Kuzbass’ first BelAZ truck joined our mining operation 60 years ago. Nowadays we operate over 600 units of main vehicles and auxiliary vehicles of Belarusian make. They constitute the foundation of the company’s vehicle depot. Partnership with BelAZ is not just about shipments of mining vehicles and machines. It is about joint work on technologies, reliability, and performance. We are proud of this history and of the joint accomplishments,” noted Stanislav Matva, Director General of Kuzbassrazrezugol Company.

BelAZ and Kuzbassrazrezugol are also connected by many years of social partnership. The two companies collaborate to set up athletic fields in miner towns in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia, to organize summer recreation programs for children of the employees in Kuzbass and Belarus, to organize sport competitions and industrial contests.
