Belarus to supply new batch of wooden houses to France

MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – The Domostroenie branch of Newsprint Mill from Shklov is set to sign an agreement with the French company SARL Logibat to supply about 60 sets of frame-panel houses to the tune of €1 million to France in 2018-2019. The document is to be signed during the 5th Belarus-France Business Forum in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of Bellesbumprom Concern.

Some houses will consist of several apartments.

SARL Logibat builds settlements on the territory of France. One of such settlements is to be commissioned on 6 November. All houses in these settlements are made of wood. The houses are supplied from Belarus.

France received the first two houses made in Shklov back in 2015. Since that time the Belarusian company has shipped over a hundred houses and other structures to France. The Shklov-based enterprise has plans to sell about 650 houses to France within the next five years.

The Domostroenie branch of Newsprint Mill is a technologically advanced company that operates equipment made by Europe's best producers. It offers frame-panel houses, houses from glued beams, glued house-building beams, and various types of profile parts. In January-August 2018, companies of the Belarusian timber industry exported products worth $3 million to France, up 43.2% over the same period last year. Most of the export commodities were furniture, building materials and structures, wooden doors and windows. Belarus also exports sawn timber, plywood, wood boards, paper, cardboard and other products.
