MOSCOW, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia will discuss food supply balance sheets on 5 February, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko told the media on the sidelines of the Prodexpo 2025 exhibition in Moscow, BelTA correspondent reports.
“In terms of food supplies, we will discuss them with the Russian government tomorrow. We'll confirm our volumes and plans for 2025,” Yuri Shuleiko said.
According to him, in addition to the food supply balance sheets, the talks will focus on joint plans in seed production, animal breeding, etc. “It should be understood that not everything is produced by Belarus. We buy a lot of things from the Russian Federation. Our agrarians, science, industrialists are discussing the improvement of technological processes, product safety. These are the best practices of both sides,” the deputy prime minister said.
While visiting the Prodexpo 2025 exhibition, the deputy prime minister, together with the ambassador of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik, studied the exposition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus, arranged by the Belinterexpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They also visited independent expositions of Belarusian enterprises in various sections of the exhibition: this year, more than 70 food producers from Belarus are participating in it.
