MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) - Russia sincerely thanks Belarus for hosting the negotiations of the trilateral contact group OSCE-Russia-Ukraine with representatives of the self-proclaimed republics, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly Konstantin Kosachev told BelTA.
“I closely follow the meetings of the contact group. I want to say a sincere thank you to Belarus and Minsk for hosting such meetings and consultations. The name of the Belarusian capital once again went down in the history of international relations,” Konstantin Kosachev noted.
He noted that the work of the contact group is not moving as fast as we would like. The Senator believes that this is due to the general context of the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
