Belarus-Russia Union State MPs to discuss development of new security programs

MOSCOW, 10 May (BelTA) – A session of the Security and Defense Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will take place in St. Petersburg on 15 May, the assembly’s press service told BelTA.

Members of the Union State parliament will review results of fulfillment of the Union State budget in 2023, in particular, the financing of programs and projects under the purview of the Security and Defense Commission, progress in implementing Union State programs in 2024 as well as matters concerning the development of new programs in the sphere of security.

Apart from that, the commission will review preparations for carrying out the Union State projects “Military-patriotic shift of cadets of Suvorov military schools (Nakhimov Naval School) and cadet schools of Belarus and Russia” and “The history and law shift ‘Future of Law Enforcement’” in 2024.

While in St. Petersburg members of the Security and Defense Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will take part in the 29th science and practice conference on data security. The conference is held alternately in Belarus and Russia. It is one of the key events in the field of scientific support for information security of Belarus, Russia, and the Union State of Belarus and Russia. It is also a platform for professionals to share the best practices, technologies, and solutions in this field.
