MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) - Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko conveyed his condolences to Chairman of Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf over the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and the accompanying statesmen, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.
"On behalf of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, I express my deep condolences over the tragic death of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage as a result of a helicopter crash," Igor Sergeyenko said. “President Ebrahim Raisi's service to the people of Iran is a true example of commitment to the state and citizens. We will remember him as a politician who made a significant contribution to the Belarusian-Iranian relations."
“MPs of the Republic of Belarus share the grief of the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the great loss and are confident that the people of Iran will remain strong and resilient in such a difficult situation,” the speaker stressed.
