MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian water ski jumping championship took place at the Freestyle water center in Minsk to mark 2022 Year of Historical Memory, BelTA has learned.
Taking part in the event were the athletes of Belarus and Russia. Twelve athletes progressed into the men's and women's main stages each. Competing for the superfinal medals were six athletes with the highest points following the first final jump.
Liubov Nikitina of Russia won the women's event with a total of 110.36 points. Hanna Huskova of Belarus, 2018 Olympic champion, scored 101.28 points to finish second. Anastasiya Andryianava of Belarus, Tokyo Games finalist, placed third, 90.89 points.
Maksim Burov of Russia scored 141.50 points to top the men's event. Belarus' Makar Mitrafanau (139.00) and Pavel Dzik (127.50) finished second and third respectively.
