Historian predicts macrozones after global power shift

MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) - Russian historian, Director of the Institute for Systemic and Strategic Analysis Andrei Fursov made a preliminary forecast of macrozone formation following the shift of global powers in a recent episode of BelTA’s V Teme [On Point] project.

When asked about new macrozones that may emerge in the future, Andrei Fursov highlighted the position of the United States. “The United States is naturally in the best position because Latin America is nearby, and they control many processes there,” he said.

According to the analyst, China is also set to have its own macrozone. “Both the United Kingdom and Western Europe face very serious problems regarding macrozones. That is why they are so hysterical now, busy rattling their sabres and trying to revive their potential through the military industrial complex and military action. In other words, while China and the United States have already secured macrozones one way or another, although the Americans will do everything they can to weaken the Chinese macrozone, the rest of the world is now fighting for macrozones,” he noted.

European countries are also in the struggle to form their own macrozone. “Since Western Europe and the United Kingdom have very weak positions, they need either war or a highly conflict ridden situation. As for the United Kingdom, its economic situation is absolutely dire, so a conflict situation is what keeps it afloat,” he concluded.
