VITEBSK, 4 May (BelTA) – The new brand identity for the 35th edition of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk was presented at the festival’s directorate, BelTA reports.
This year, fans of the festival will discover a new concept and imagery that reach back to its origins. Alongside the familiar cornflower on the logo now sits a boat (ladya). The image references both a historical event recorded in ancient chronicles – Princess Olga arriving by boat to found Vitebsk – and the festival’s own early years, particularly 1992, when posters featured a similar vessel.

“This year, we did things differently. We developed four visual concepts and let the public decide. After a vote on social media and at an exhibition in Minsk, the design you now see on posters and merchandise won. The boat was chosen as the main element to symbolize our 35-year festival journey. The motto of this concept is: ‘Traveling between the past and the future, we create the art of the present.’ Our boat is crystal. Like the traditional festival cornflower, it has facets that reflect the many facets of art, talent, and honest intention,” said designer Yevgenia Gurchenko.
