BEIJING, 14 February (BelTA) – The coaches of the Belarusian men's biathlon team have named athletes for the Men's 4x7.5km Relay of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games scheduled for 15 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
The Belarusian team will feature Mikita Labastau, Dzmitry Lazouski, Maksim Varabei and 2022 silver medallist Anton Smolski. The Belarusian team will compete along other 20 teams.
At the 2018 Olympics the Belarusian team placed 8th. Then the team comprised Anton Smolski, Raman Yaliotnau, Vladimir Chepelin, and Sergei Bocharnikov. Belarus placed 4th at the Olympics in Lillehammer in 1994 and Nagano in 1998.
In the women's relay at the previous Olympics Belarus' Darya Domracheva, Nadezhda Skardino, Dzinara Alimbekava and Iryna Leshchanka (Kryuko) claimed gold.
