GRODNO, 15 November (BelTA) – Refugees are setting up tents, putting sleeping bags right on the road and making fires, as they are camping down at a checkpoint at the Polish border, BelTA has learned.
The situation is calm. The refugees are waiting for a peaceful resolution of the situation.
“On the morning of Monday, 15 November, the refugees picked up warm clothes, tents and sleeping bags hoping for a resolution of the situation. By noon they gathered in a large column and began to move towards the Bruzgi checkpoint. The refugees emphasize their exclusively peaceful intentions and are ready for any developments. At the head of the column are women with small children. Belarusian border guards continue to ensure safety and order both in the makeshift camp and along the way the refugees are moving,” official representative of the State Border Committee Anton Bychkovsky said earlier.
