Belarus invites Azerbaijan to set up joint pharmaceutical companies

BAKU, 16 May (BelTA) – Belarus invites Azerbaijan to create joint ventures in the pharmaceutical industry, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told reporters following negotiations with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on 16 May, BelTA has learned.

“As for pharmaceutics, we are ready  to start supplying the medicines that you need right away, and to create joint enterprises here to make medicines and veterinary drugs that we produce in Belarus,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko. “This would be a very ambitious program. And this program will not undercut anyone in Azerbaijan. We will not come into conflict with anyone here and we will not compete with anyone. Although there should be competition,” he noted.
