Exhibition and congress council set up in Belarus

MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – An inter-agency council for exhibitions, fairs and congresses has been set up in Belarus. The decision was formalized by Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 806 as of 27 November 2019, BelTA learned from the website of the government.

The council will be a standing advisory agency that will coordinate efforts in arranging and promoting congresses and fairs. It will be led by Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovich.

The council will hold ad hoc meetings. Organizational and information support will be provided by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The council is authorized to take decisions, within its scope of authority, to improve interaction between government agencies and other organizations in the domain of exhibitions, fairs and congresses. The council can also submit proposals to the Council of Ministers regarding improvements to exhibition-related activities.

The resolution comes into force after its official publication.
