BSU announces logo contest to mark 30 years of Belarus-China diplomatic relations

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – Belarusian State University (BSU) has announced a logo design competition to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and China, BelTA learned from the press service of the university.

The competition seeks to select the best artistic image to highlight the significance of the Belarus-China cooperation and draw public attention to this important event in the history of the two countries. The logo will be used at official joint events, in various printed materials. The competition is run by the Confucius Institute of Sinology of Belarusian State University.

“Belarusian and Chinese citizens are invited to submit their entries. Logos can be made individually, as well as by a team of authors. The choice of technique and format is up to participants. Entries should include a graphic part and description. The jury will evaluate the originality, relevance, expressiveness, functionality and the brevity of the ideas presented,” the press service said.

Applications can be submitted until 21 November electronically in jpeg format to rci.bsu@gmail.com or sent by regular mail to 11 Revolutionary Street, Office 302, Minsk. One participant can submit an unlimited number of entries.

The winning entry will be selected on 30 November. The award ceremony will be held online. The winner will receive a diploma and a prize.

BSU maintains high-level contacts with China within the framework of 81 agreements with Chinese universities and research facilities. The Belarusian university is popular among Chinese students whose current number stands at 2,177 people.
