MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko shared the advice he gave U.S. President Donald Trump concerning a war with Iran, BelTA has learned.
“The Americans are doing well. They have started doing what I advised Trump during our last talks [with the U.S. delegation]. I can share this now. The Jews, the Israelis came to him and urged him to go to war against Iran. They forgot about the Holocaust, about Gaza, where people and children died, they forgot everything. He agreed. What should they do now? I told them: ‘Israel wanted to fight Iran – let them fight. Let them fight on their own. Why are you getting involved? You will end up burying your own people there,’” the head of state said.
“Coffins have slowly begun arriving in America. And society is outraged. Two-thirds already disapprove of this decision. So I said: ‘Tell Donald [Trump] to let Israel fight Iran. We will see what happens.’ We all know how to fight with someone else’s hands, just like the West is doing in Ukraine,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
“I can see that common sense has prevailed. They are slowly, gradually pulling out of there. You hear these statements like ‘we bombed this,’ ‘we hit that with a missile,’ ‘we will take the uranium tomorrow.’ But the main thing is the oil. [They say] ‘we will seize Khark Island.’ This island is hundreds of kilometers away from the Strait of Hormuz and has no impact on the passage of ships there. But the Americans have slowly begun to withdraw. I am sure the Israelis will also realize they got involved in something they should not have,” the president said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that Israel is a small country in terms of both territory and population, yet it considers many around it to be enemies and attacks them. “But such a small state with such a population cannot take over the whole world. They thought the Americans would do it for them. But the Americans realized in time [what was happening],” the head of state added.
