MOSCOW, 18 June (BelTA) – There are no problems with consular access to the Russian citizen Sofia Sapega, who has been arrested in Belarus. Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov made the statement after negotiations with his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei in Moscow on 18 June, BelTA has learned.
Sergey Lavrov said: “We've touched upon some sensitive things. Vladimir Makei told me about the situation with Russian citizens, who have been apprehended in Belarus. I mean Sofia Sapega and Yegor Dudnikov.”
“There are no problems with consular access [to them] and we hope that this situation will be resolved soon,” the Russian minister of foreign affairs noted.
