Lavrov describes Russia-Belarus cooperation as unprecedented

MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) -  The nature of interaction with Belarus is unprecedented, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said as he met with his Belarusian counterpart Sergei Aleinik in Minsk on 24 June, BelTA has learned.

Sergey Lavrov noted that in recent years, the historical memory of Russians and Belarusians has been subjected to attacks by the West: attempts are being made to rewrite history, monuments are being demolished, and Nazi criminals are being glorified.

"This makes our interaction all the more valuable," he said.

According to the minister, the Belarusian-Russian cooperation has become unprecedented at all levels in recent years.

"The tone is set by the presidents," Sergei Lavrov said.
