MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Venezuela and concurrently to Colombia Dmitry Derevinsky met with Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Planning and Minister of the Popular Power for Planning of Venezuela Ricardo Jose Menendez Prieto on 23 April, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of Industry and National Commerce of Venezuela Luis Antonio Villegas Ramirez, Deputy Minister of Industry and National Commerce of Venezuela Jose Javier Hernandez Castillo, and President of the Venezuelan Automotive Industry Corporation Corsoauto Mileidy Andreina Bastidas Montilla.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to Belarus-Venezuela industrial cooperation, with a focus on bilateral projects for assembling tractor and cargo vehicles at joint venture sites in Barinas state. They also reviewed priorities and possible approaches to cooperation in this area.
The parties agreed to hold a series of meetings at the expert and technical level in the near future to intensify cooperative ties.
