Belarus to raise minimum subsistence budget on 1 May

MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) - Belarus will raise the minimum subsistence budget on 1 May 2026, BelTA learned from the press service of the Labor and Social Security Ministry of Belarus.

The new minimum subsistence budget will be valid until 31 July 2026.

The new minimum subsistence budget on average per capita is set at Br509.62, which is 2.5% higher than the minimum subsistence budget that was in effect from 1 February 2026.

The minimum subsistence budget in Belarus has been set at Br554.4 for working-age population, Br366.59 for pensioners, Br314.1 for children under 3 years, Br422.66 for children aged 3 to 6, and Br497.59 for children aged 6 to 18.
This is the second increase in the minimum subsistence budget in 2026.
